Gangneung & Samcheok K-Culture Day Trip

Jumunjin in Gangneung has both *Goblin*'s breakwater and the BTS bus stop, and Samcheok's Maengbang Beach is further down the coast. This guide gives the route only. Check current transport and times yourself.

### Route

   Jumunjin Breakwater, Gangneung (강릉시 주문진읍 해안로 1609): the first meeting in *Goblin*. VisitKorea lists it as open year-round, and a café nearby rents a red scarf and flowers for photos.

   BTS Bus Stop, Jumunjin Beach (Hyangho-ri): the cover of *You Never Walk Alone* (the "Spring Day" album). The city rebuilt the stop as a photo spot in 2018. It's at Hyangho-ri, at the north end of Jumunjin.

   Maengbang Beach, Samcheok (optional, further south): the *Butter* jacket shoot (March 2021). The BTS photo-zone props were taken down in January 2024 after the agency raised copyright concerns, so today it's just the beach. Go for the coast, not a photo set.

### Getting there

• Gateway: Gangneung Station (KTX). Check current KTX trains on Korail before you go. We don't list fares or times because they change.
• To the BTS Bus Stop: Gangneung City's tourist bus guide lists a bus from Gangneung Station to the BTS bus stop. The city's bus information system shows route 300 running to Hyangho-ri, where the stop is. Confirm the stop to get off at on Naver Map or Kakao Map (fan guides say Jumunjin Beach / 주문진해변).
