Transit rule of thumb
For trips under ~5 nights, stay within a short walk of a subway station — ideally an interchange — unless you have a specific neighborhood reason.
How to decide

- 2Check late-night return options to the hotel.
- 3Read recent traveler notes for construction or event closures.
Safety note
Busy districts are generally walkable; still use normal city caution, licensed taxis/apps late, and hotel safes for passports.
